My friend and I traveled to Hongkong last January 13 – 17, 2012. This is my second time in Hongkong and I can say that my stay in Guangdong Guesthouse is the best one. Simon, the manager, is a great man and very hardworking. Personally, I admire him for his dedication to his work. He is very honest and accommodating. This guesthouse is in the 5th floor of Chungking Mansion in the center of Kowloon Hongkong and just across the MTR station (Tsim Sha Tsui ). It will take 30 to 45 minutes bus ride ( A21 ) from and to the airport. Bus stop is 30 second walk to Chungking Mansion.

I highly recommend Guangdong Guesthouse for a budget traveler, it’s worth the money. Room might be small but very clean and all the stuff you will need as a traveler is provided ( shampoo, conditioner, hot and cold shower, clean towels and hair dryer). As to the safety, this guesthouse is equipped with the automated lock ( key card - requires HK $100 deposit, but your money will surely be returned to you upon check out once you return the card).

I am very happy and satisfied in my stay in Guangdong Guesthouse. I want to thank Simon because thru him we were able to meet two great friends, Sussie and Pit, a great couple from Calgary, Canada.

To those who are looking for a guesthouse, Guangdong is the best!

Hi there,

This place is ideal if you need to jump by and don't want to spend much money on accommodation. Expect quite small rooms (Like every budget accommodation in HKG) and of-course the Chungking mansons are not the most ideal place to start a holiday.. Noisy, crowded and lot's of Indian sells people nagging you.

But, never the less, good value for money.
