Neighborhood

U hostels is situated in calle Sagasta 22 in the Malasaña dirstrict which is one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in Madrid. The multitude of bars and restaurants attract a young crowd making it one of Madrid’s most lively quarters. The hostel is within walking distance to many of Madrid’s most famous sights such as the Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace and the Museum Triangle (Reina Sofia, Prado and Thyssen). In addition the metro lines 1, 4, 5, and 10 are at two minutes walking distance from our hostel making it the perfect hostel to discover Madrid. By metro you can reach the airport in 25 min and the Atocha train station in only 10 minutes, even Real Madrid´s famous San Bernabeu soccer stadium is only 10 minutes away.

Booking and cancellation policy

Unless otherwise specified, booking payments are non-refundable.

Check-out: 11:00h - Check-in: 14:15h.However, if you arrive early you are welcome to leave your stuff with reception and come back later. Late arrivals need to confirm booking by email although, reception is open 24hrs.Credit cards accepted. Groups Accepted.
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charge the equivalent of the firs. Cancellations are only accepted via email. A 10€ deposit is payable in cash upon arrival.

How to get there

U hostels is located in calle Sagasta 22, few meters away from Alonso Martinez and Bilbao Metro station, from where you can get any place in the city in few minutes

Many of Madrid’s most famous sights, party areas, shopping streets (Serrano, Fuencarral, Gran via...) are within walking distance to the hostel

The metro lines 1, 4, 5, and 10 are at two minutes walking distance from our hostel making it the perfect hostel to discover Madrid

The two closest metro stops are Bilbao (metro line 1) and Alonso Martinez (metro lines 4, 5, 10) both stops give access to calle Sagasta, which is where the hostel is located (2 min walking distance)

From the Airport

By Subway (around 30 min & 4€):

Take the pink line (line 8) until the end at “Nuevos Ministerios” and change for the dark blue line (line 10) in direction “Puerta del Sur” and get off the metro after two stops at Alonso Martinez (the closest metro station to the Hostel).
From here you have to walk up calle Sagasta you will find our hostel after 100 meters on your left side

The metro runs daily from 6. 00 a. m. until 1. 30 a. m.

By Bus (around 45 min and 6€)

The express bus connects the airport terminals with the Attocha train station throughout the day and with Plaza de Cibeles throughout the night.
The Busses leave every 20 minutes throughout the day and every 35 minutes throughout the night

From Plaza de Cibeles or from the Atocha station you can take the Bus number 37 and get off at the Sagasta stop.

By taxi:
It should take you approximately 25 minutes and cost you 30€.

From the Atocha Train Station

By Subway: (around 15min and1, 50€)

Walk 250 meters to the Atocha Metro station and take Metro line 1 (turquoise line) in direction Pinar de Chamartin.

Get Off at Bilbao and walk down calle Sagasta you will find the hostel after 350 meters on your right hand side.

The metro runs daily from 6. 00 a. m. until 1. 30 a. m.

By Bus (around 20 min and 1, 50€)

Take the Bus line 37 in direction cuatro caminos and get off at the Sagasta stop.

By Taxi:
It should take you approximately 15 minutes and cost you 15€.

From Chamartín train station:

By Subway (around 20 min and 1, 50€):

Take the Metro line 10 (dark blue line) in direction “Puerta del Sur” and get off after 6 stops at Alonso Martinez.

From here you have to walk up calle Sagasta you will find our hostel after 100 meters on your left side.

The metro runs daily from 6. 00 a. m. until 1. 30 a. m.

By Bus (around 30 min and 1, 50€):

Take the Bus Line 5 in direction Puerta del Sol and get off at Plaza de Colon.

From here walk up calle Genova until you reach calle Sagasta. You will find the hostel on your left hand side.

By Taxi:
It should take you approximately 20 minutes and cost you 20€.
